Although most of the focus is on weather patterns in the US and not as much is given for other parts of the world, there are plenty of hazards that occur in this part of the world frequently.

The world section of the British Broadcasting Corporation also headlines events going on in many parts of the planet. I have found several stories from this website about natural hazards having an effect on the environment and the population that resides there. This is a good source to check often for news everywhere.

This links to a map of the world and the current natural hazards going on. Some of these may be as old as a week, but still shows that even after a hazard event is finished, it has left an effect on areas that are starting the recovery process.

Weather is very important to states such as Florida, however this also covers many areas in Latin America because of a high percent population of latinos in this part of the country. There are many natural hazards that not only occur in Florida, but definitely in places of the caribbean and other locations of South America.
